Real or fake?

The Americans claimed that they were the first to walk on the moon back in the 60's but was it real? There have been theries that it was not real but done in a studio. Certain faults have been noticed like the flag blowing in the wind yet there is no wind in space and foot prints yet they wouldn't have a heavy enough step to leave a footprint because no gravity. Is this just because the Americans couldn't really do it but didn't want anybody else to be the first or was it really real?
