WOW membership is payable per month or per year?

When i was playing WoW you could pay for a month, 3 months, 6 months or a year. i think you got a slight discount the more you bought but not alot maybe a few pound over a year. It's �8.99 per month but like i say if you pay in advance you get it a lil cheaper.
