Why is trance/techno not popular in the usa?

I dont understand why people dont like it. My mom bought me a tecnno cd when i was like 12 and it was the best gift she ever gave me. It bring's me alive I listen to it driving, working out whatever. dont tell me drugs because rap is about drugs to smokin weed drinkin your 40's dont get me wrong i like rap OLd schOol rap not this new garbage but i prefer trance now i understand there are some shitty techno songs out there but there is with every music genre its a given. Ive met so many people who like it but dont spread the word. when i pull up to a red light ive got it cranked up some people laugh some people bounce there head i dont care what they think because this is who i am IM NOT A POSER like most IF you like it jam out to it and spread it .
