Has anyone ever looked at someone and saw someone else?

About a 2 weeks after my 2nd granddaughter was born,my daughter in law took me out for dinner for my birthday and she brought the baby.We were just sitting there and I glanced over and looked into my granddaughters eyes and my mothers were looking back at me,not my granddaughters.I was not even thinking about my mother she has been dead for 11 years.Has anyone else ever experience this? I was not scared just amazed and surprised I did not tell anyone I was afraid they would think I was crazy.
