Does Infinite Jest have an actual plotline?

And if anyone's read it, did you like it? Did you understand the Poor Tony and C and Cho part? I couldn't understand it through the nonexistence of grammar and punctuation. Did DFW make any typos in Infinite Jest? How do you think he went about writing such a humongous work?
