Can I use just compressed air as a contact cleaner?

Any type of contact cleaner will work. It doesn't have to be a brand name. Just using compressed air may clean it but the ones that have a fluid will probably work better. Spray it in and turn the pots up and down a few times then do it again. This usually does a good job at eliminating the popping, crackling noises caused by dust.
